Vexcom Flash site (from 2000)

Project: Flash version of Vexcom.com

Back in 2000 the flash media player was being distributed with all AOL, Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers, the most widely used browsers at the time. The site used the newest feature of Adobe Flash 4 including streaming MP3s and the use of 'motion tween'. While simple by today's flash standards at the time the site was raising the bar for the future.


Create a functioning and aesthetically pleasing site to promote vexcom. Features included a diverse portfolio, lists of services, and the ability to contact the company (fuctionallity has been removed in the example).


Vexcom takes pride in 'pushing the envelope' for developing new web technology. Flash was just beginning to become noticed on-line and was under the main-stream's radar. Knowing that all main browsers shipped with the Flash player Vexcom was one of the first Flash sites taylored to be seen by the masses.
