Background:
My City Guide is a brand new community-driven (this means you!) site focusing on helping you find the best places to visit in cities all across America. Register to become a tour guide and tell us about your favorite shops, clubs, restaurants, and all the cool places in your city. You can add brand new places, write reviews about existing places, and share your location experiences and photos with others!

Challenge:
1. Create a community-driven website displaying data about locations all across the country. The site allows for users to become a Tour Guide or simply search for information on a city or a location of interest.

2. Tour Guides add new locations to the database, write reviews of the locations that they have visited, and ensure that the location listings are accurate for the community.

3. Tour Guides can edit their account, profile and upload a personal picture of themselves. Pictures of a location allows for photos of that establishment as well.

4. Generate and send out periodic emails regarding announcements. Visitors can contact Tour Guides using a contact form which will be sent via email.

Solution:
Tour Guides will recive their own profile pages. Their reviews receive ratings as well as show how many reveiws they have written. Other pesonal information is an option as well such as a link to their own personal website or myspace page.

Each review is listed under the appropriate Category, for example "Restaurants and Cafes".

Other Tour Guide Features Include: User Ratings, Key words to describe the location, Location Description & A Dollar Rating System.

Result:
Locals or Tourists can visit www.mycityguide.net and get "real" reviews from "real" people. Not just what the establishments want you to hear. You also will find off the beaten path places to visit. Becoming a tour guide is fun and allows you to share your opinions not just with random users but with friends and families as well.
